UPDATE, August 1, 2009: The discussion about cannonball weight and size, which you can read below in the comments, pretty much gave me the choice of either using smaller cannonballs, or some mechanical aid to lift them. Since smaller cannonballs would be less likely to sink a ship, I chose to give Harry a machine rather like a forklift (a spoonlift?) to load his balls. The other pictures in this group will also be changed to show the "spoonlift," though I won't label them as "major changes" to notify my deviant watchers.
The Turks besieging Constantinople with their giant cannons? I have no idea how they loaded theirs!
